Ponytail
A skill that makes your AI coding agent write less code — the 'laziest senior dev' ruleset that reaches for the built-in one-liner instead of installing three libraries. MIT, works across ~13 agents.

git clone https://github.com/DietrichGebert/ponytail.git The best code is the code you never wrote. Ponytail drops a YAGNI-minded ruleset into your AI agent so it stops over-engineering — you ask for a date picker and it reaches for <input type="date"> instead of installing a library, writing a wrapper, and starting a discussion about timezones.
Every shortcut it takes is marked in the code with a ponytail: comment naming the upgrade path, so you can opt back into complexity only where you actually need it. Its own benchmarks claim 80–94% less code, meaningfully cheaper and faster runs, across Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus — reproduce them yourself from the repo. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, and around a dozen other agents. If you build with AI, it pairs naturally with Superpowers: one gives your agent a methodology, the other gives it restraint.
